Topic Nominated Ligotti comments on "Blood will have its Season"

"Some writers one admirers and others make one want to do as they do, or try. For me, Joe Pulver is of the latter type. His imagination is so vile so much of the time that it makes me giggle with amazement. And the prose so deadly visionary. I'm grateful that the pieces in this collection are those of a fellow horror writer who has raised the ante on what it means to be such a creature." - Thomas Ligotti

This is fabulous and I am so proud of you -- yet it comes as no surprise that a book as sensational as yours is getting this response. This is only ye beginning! See you in a few weeks, my friend.

Just as I was looking for something new and good to read. So very much of the storytelling I come across turns out to be mundane. This does not seem to have that problem.

Trust me, this collection does definitively NOT have this problem ;).
I am just reading it for the second time and it has lost none of its fascination.
Highly recommended!

Re: Ligotti comments on "Blood will have its Season"

OK, I am only three stories in, but this is some fascinating, decidedly different writing. Brutal, beautiful, and unusual. I'm reminded of feelings I forgot I've had and pictures that I may have never actually seen. A big thumbs up over here. (Also makes me want to read "The King in Yellow" again!)
