tUne-yArDs on NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

I saw tUne-yArDs on Austin City Limits last night and was quite enamored with their unfettered expression and general quirkiness. Upon searching I found a full "concert" on NPR within their Tiny Desk Concert series, wherein bands crowd into NPR offices and play live, typically in a stripped down minimalistic mode. This might start out a bid slow, but livens up as it progresses. Full HD streaming if you want to pop it up full screen and ramp up the bandwidth.

Here is the ACL episode in entirety, including the "opening" act, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros:

Re: tUne-yArDs on NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

It took me a while to get to this, but as I've been doing a lot of drawing lately, I've been listening to less radio repeats of plays and more music - and seeking more off-the-usual-track music at that. So your post found a receptive listener here.

The studio Tiny Desk set prompted me to follow your link to the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros gig, and I'm glad I did!

I enjoyed that band as well, though they did not set as stark an impression on my memory as Tune-Yards did (no doubt because of their blatant disregard for convention). NPR did a Tiny Desk session with this band as well:

LOVE Edward Sharpe; they give a hell of a live show. Also, they're playing with Mumford and Sons (and a lot of others) in the Gentlemen of the Road tour (Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers 2013 - Mumford Sons)

Bought my ticket for Guthrie; they're gonna sell out quick
