Re: Psychoville

I'm not quite sure what it was about the trick or treaters that made them look scary rather than little kids in silly costumes, but whatever it was it worked.

Re: Psychoville

Just in case anyone missed where I posted it in the Other News section. Reece Shearsmith is being interviewed in Chain Reaction on BBC Radio 4 today at 18.30.

Re: Psychoville

I've been working backwards through Inside No. 9, Psychoville and League of Gentlemen. Haven't actually started the rewatch of League yet so I'm curious to see how well it stands up seeing as it's now over 15 years old.

Btw, the Chain reaction interview is currently available on BBC iplayer. And in next week's episode Shearsmith inteviews Bob Mortimer. BBC Radio 4 - Chain Reaction, Series 10, Adam Buxton talks to Reece Shearsmith

Thanks for Chain Reaction reminders. I still need to get hold of Reece reading Aickman, if it's available anywhere.

I'm looking forward to series 2 of Inside No.9, due sometime larer this year, I believe.

You can listen to 'The Same Dog' here. https://soundcloud.com/audibleuk/the...og-from-robert

I think you can get hold of audio downloads of entire books worth of Shersmith/Acikman at Amazon.

Re: Psychoville

Still not got round to my League of Gentlemen rewatch yet. Got sidetracked by Julia Davis' Gothic spoof, Hunderby.

Finished Inside No. 9. Some episodes were better than others, but it was overall a really solid show, and the second episode wowed me a lot.

I really enjoyed Julia Davis' Human Remains and Nighty Night. Not seen Hunderby, though it looks like exactly the sort of thing I would enjoy.

Re: Psychoville

I missed Human Remains when it was broadcast, but have the DVD waiting to be watched. Might get Nighty Night as well, I remember enjoying it at the time but don't remember any details beyond the basic premise. No, wait, I have a vague recollection of Julia Davis attempting to pole-dance.

I enjoyed this. Feels like something is missing from television after seeing it.
