Black Ferris's quote reminds me, one of my favorite funny/ridiculous movies is Big Trouble in Little China. That and any time Will Sasso played Steven Seagal on MadTV.

Having just mentioned that, I just thought of this -

I just watched that again. Wow, I am not sure how many of you made it to the parts where he starts talking about Buddhism, and making people laugh, and inspiring them. Uhh . . . I guess I found it funny.

I should post something less abrasive.

This evening, my local Meteorologist (and that's amusing in its own right-- I agree with George Carlin: if they don't tell us about meteors, what damn good are they?) was discussing the effect an as-yet-unnamed tropical depressiony sort of thing out in the Gulf of Mexico was having on our weekly forecast. The Lovecraft nerd in me had to howl as he said the following:

"...this Thing out in the Gulf will probably remain Nameless..."

Yeah, my brain selectively inserted Lovecraftian caps to the appropriate keywords. I was extremely amused by this acclaimed weatherman talking about the Nameless Thing Out In the Gulf...

I have been wondering, since I posted that, whether American meterologists refer to "patchy rain", "patchy fog" and the like. Now, I think: "Why would they, when they can summon Lovecraftian weather from the abyss?"... or should that be ?
