I own two copies of this book, both of which are unread. One copy was purchased with an original note from Tom to Harry Morris regarding the story selection and imminent printing of the collection. Another was obtained directly from Tom and was supplemented with a note featuring mixed paraphrasing as selected from "The Frolic" and "A Portion of Ka" (my amateur short film dedicated to Lovecraft and Ligotti).

These books are extremely hard to find, especially in decent condition. Most were read voraciously by those fortunate to grasp the significance of the collection.

I own a copy in great condition. Mine came with a letter from Tom to Harry Morris too. Tom talks about ideas for short films of his works. He says he doesn't know how well they would translate visually etc. It also came with the original postcard press release for the book.

I am the proud owner of a signed copy in new condition. I worked a lot of OT in order to buy this baby, but it was worth it. I have read quite a bit of literature, and I consider Ligotti to be an important writer. In the genre, I would place this book alongside H.P. Lovecraft's The Outsider and Others and Ray Bradbury's Dark Carnival. HOM's outstanding work in this book contributes to make it a unique treasure.

I am happy to say that I recently acquired a signed inscribed copy of this in NF condition for 200 dollars.
The best 200 bucks I have spent in a long time.

It's a difficult one to find, that's for sure.

That is a great price for such a rare edition. I paid considerably more for mine, but I have enjoyed it for many years and I have no regrets. It is the gem of my book collection. I am sure you will enjoy it. The macabre illustrations by Harry O. Morris add to the menace of the stories.

Did anyone notice that a copy of this book came up for sale on eBay about a week ago? It was in beautiful condition. It was priced at $199 and was purchased immediately. It was sold by one of those book thrift sellers, which I find a little unsettling for some reason.
