New Clark Ashton Smith collection

I've been looking forward to this collection of CA Smith's prose poetry and artwork for years, (it's been pre-advertised for a long long time). Arkham House's long out-of-print "Poems in Prose" is wonderful, though not many people have a copy. But this is really the first comprehensive collection of Smith's artwork to be published. It is listed as "shipping around October 22." Curious if anyone has received their copy yet, and if so, what they thought of it?

"In the Realms of Mystery and Wonder: Collected Prose Poems and Artwork of Clark Ashton Smith."

Got it. It's as advertised. Centipede has done very, VERY well with this book. As a huge CAS fan, I'm loving it.

I just received my copy too. It's everything you can expect from Centipede Press - nothing short of awesome! I encourage you to get a copy.

Re: New Clark Ashton Smith collection

Didn't this come out a few years ago? I know it was announced years ago.

I've got Nostalgia Of The Unknown: Complete Prose Poetry but I don't know if the texts will differ much (as many CAS texts were only restored to their intended form in the recent past) or how many new ones this Centipede book was.

To be honest I'm annoyed the prose poems weren't all included in the Collected Fantasies or Complete Poetry series.

Yes, it has been advertised for years but publication was always pushed back until now. I too have his prose already (Arkham's "Poems in Prose") but was chiefly interested in the artwork.

Pre-ordered, waiting for arrival.

Re: New Clark Ashton Smith collection

It is a magical tome! I have try'd to actually begin reading it, but continue to be lured from ye text by the fantastic artwork. Indeed, I shou'd be asleep, but I had to get out of bed and glance through ye book yet again...

My copy arrived yesterday. A wonderful book, well worth the long (years) wait. A real treat for all fans of Clark Ashton Smith.
