The main chat engine login screen has been reconstructed.
The reason for this is threefold:
- This allows for users without Macromedia Flash installed to view the login screen and a link to download the free plug-in.
- It provides browser pre-filling of username and password, if so enabled.
- It previews the number of users online and displays a list of usernames. This is convenient in that you will no longer have to log into the chat room in order to see if anyone is there.
The next step is to integrate the new chat program into
The Nightmare Network. Hopefully this will allow for instant launching of the chat program with a seamless transfer of shared usernames and passwords.
As a reminder, the current chat link within
TNN is no longer the main chat forum to be utilized. While users are welcome to utilize this interface, migration to the flash based chat program is encouraged. If I can integrate FlashChat into
TNN, the old program will be deleted.
