"SIN & ashes" by Joseph S. Pulver, Sr. coming soon!

Have this already been mentioned? Just read about it on Laird Barron's blog - Joe Pulver's next story collection is coming soon from Hippocampus:

"SIN & ashes"

I notice that at least one of the stories, "A Night of Moon & Blood, Then Holstenwall" appeared in "Blood Will Have Its Season," also from Hippocampus. Anyone know if this version is different or just a reprint?

Either way, glad to see the new book. Go Joe!

PS: I have not been on TLO as much as I would like lately, sorry if this is old news!

Hmmm, could swear there was a pre-order button on that page but now I don't see one. I should probably never attempt to do anything ever before a few cups of coffee.

Thanks, Sam. "aNoB&M,TH" will not be in SIN due to page count considerations. The version to have been included was the original version laidout in a poetic and post modern fashion, like "The Song Cassilda Shall Sing . . ." in BLOOD. There are also two minor transitational changes to the text, as it was going from pure poetics to a linear narrative format. "aNoBaM,TH" will appear in "something" down the road. More than likely in my 3rd collection [tenatively called, PORTRAITS OF RUIN] which I am half done with.

There will be updates on SIN [and other works of mine] at my blog

http://thisyellowmadness.blogspot.com/

and on Facebook, MySpace, perhaps Laird's blog, and here at TLO.

Again, thanks for the posting, Sam!

All my bEastly best! !!

Re: "SIN & ashes" by Joseph S. Pulver, Sr. coming soon!

I'm glad to hear this will be out soon (as well as news of a third collection). Blood Will Have Its Season was easily the most...well I guess "brutal" is the best world to use...collection of short stories I've ever read, and I can't wait for more.

"Brutal" . . . Yeah. Wasn't it Dylan who said, "It's tough out there"? Thought that meant to tell it true . . . Thanks, glad to hear you think it succeeded on some level.

Hope you enjoy SIN, slayn666. I'll be waiting to hear what you think.

Re: "SIN & ashes" by Joseph S. Pulver, Sr. coming soon!

In case you're still pondering whether or not to buy "SIN & ashes" - Ellen Datlow just included SIN's "Just Another Desert Night With Blood" in her "The Best Horror of the Year, Volume 3"! Now there's some advice you may want to follow ...

Went ahead and got myself this and the "Blood will have it's season".
Will spend the rest of the month in ambush, waiting for the mailman to deliver a box filled with these two. Really looking forward to reading 'em.

YAY! !! & thanks. Hoping you find them of some merit. One thing, when you read BLOOD, read the tales in order - no hopping around. There is a reason why

And if you're interested in A Season in Carcosa, these two books will give you a fairly good idea of my take on RWC and the KIY. I have about 25 KIY tales in the two collections.

Best!
