A part of me is revelling in this. Between Trump idiocy and whatever thing I'm supposed to be offended about on a celebrity's Twitter feed today, it's nice to have something weird, dark and mysterious going on. It's becoming a sort of modern day folk horror.

This is so odd. The tiny area of land I leave my house to walk around in is now victim to terrorising clowns. The local area is buzzing with fear. Kids are skipping school. Adults are afraid to go out after dark.
I'm loving it. Went for a walk in the woods last night listening to black metal and constantly looking over my shoulder for adroit jesters. |

A short time ago, I was sitting on my front porch steps, smoking a cigarette, tall bushes on either side of me. It was around midnight and the night was unseasonably hot. I felt like a king on his hidden throne. A teenager walked by. Suddenly he saw me in the shadows, grabbed at his heart (honest to God!), stumbled and gasped audibly. "Whoa, I didn't see you, man. You looked liked like a werewolf." "Yeah, I am," II responded, "but a good one. Nothing to fear." "Thanks, man," he said as he continued to stumble away. True. But weird. Weird.
