Re: Reza Negarestani: CYCLONOPEDIA (Complicity with Anonymous Materials)
Someone must have scanned the entire book, CYCLONOPEDIA (Complicity with Anonymous Materials). It is available in PDF format, and the pages look authentic, giving the reading experience a kind of foreboding feel to it ... to have it fall in your lap ... I mean, how can one resist taking a peek ?
What is the exiled Persian academic Parsani if not a 21st Century fellow traveller for Lovecraft’s 8th Century mad Arab Alhazred? Imagine Lovecraft's Abdul Alhazred writes a contemporary version of Necronomicon which is politically relevant to our time and perhaps even more horrific and maddening. The PDF file is at H T T P S : // ciudadtecnicolor DOT files DOT wordpress DOT com /2011/01/cyclonopedia.pdf I wrote it that way because the link was not showing up here. You can also access it from THIS POST at WhyBother Also:

Thanks for this. I was toying with the idea of getting Cyclonopedia but couldn't find any samples anywhere to get a sense of whether it was my cup of tea.

Re: Reza Negarestani: CYCLONOPEDIA (Complicity with Anonymous Materials)
That's the least I could do for the scholars here at TLO.
When I am at my wits end, I explore this site quietly in the background. I was pleased to find this thread about Cyclonopedia. It is was compelled me to search for a copy. I have limited shelf space reserved for some mathematics textbooks, reference, programming, and, of course, Schopenhauer and Cioran ... so I too was glad to find this rough PDF floating around out there since I have been curious ... but not altogether obsessed enough to track down a hard copy. There are no official electronic versions, so it is best to grab this ASAP so as to be able to send it to any "weird" acquaintances who might be interested in being driven mad with the Deluezian (Anti-Oedipus) kind of literature/philosophy/politics ... Peace.

Re: Reza Negarestani: CYCLONOPEDIA (Complicity with Anonymous Materials)
I have attempted to read Cyclonopedia twice. I like this book immensely, but it is a work that demands much from the reader, an intensity like an insane wind that blows through your attention and absorbs it at the same time, So I am attempting a third time with the intention of not letting any other complicity distract me.
'The older I grow, the less I react to frenzy, delirium. My taste, among thinkers, now goes only to extinct volcanoes." -E.M. Cioran

I've read half of it. Frankly don't think it's worth the trouble. Anti-Oedipus was so much more fun. Or Blanchot's Thomas the Obscure if you're into theory fiction.
