Re: Video Games
Eternal darkness was a great game and justified my decision to buy a game cube even though it did not have many triple AAA games.
My favourite at the moment is Alone in the Dark for the Xbox 360, I have just played it through and found it very good. The sequences in Central ParkNew York are well realised and there are a few good puzzles that involve you shutting your eyes (click on right stick) to see the ghostly presence of your former mentor. Its monsters are more like Zombies on steroids but the fact that you have to strategically shoot them in their “spirit cracks” means that its not a souless button masher. The atmosphere is also generally good with a huge abyss cutting central park off from the rest of new york which looks suitably awesome and some disturbing music/sound effects. It does however have some annoying bugs and virtually not reply value so I would certainly not recommend you buy it far better to rent it.

Re: Video Games
Fallout 3> Finished it yesterday morning. Want to play it again but as a bad guy. Cant get the hang of it, I am clearly a do-gooder by nature. |
(Dictated while taking a stroll) I have come to realizewhat a superbly contrived marionette man is. Though without strings attached, one can strut, jump, hop and, moreover, utter words, an elaborately made puppet! Who knows? At the Bon season next year, I may be a new dead invited to the Bon festival. What an evanescent world! This truth keeps slipping off our minds.

Lovecraft fans playing Fallout 3...
...will get a big kick out of the Dunwich Building, found in the South West of the blasted wasteland.
Complete with ghouls, talk of a certain Alhazred, a forbidden tome, and a cheesy "writing this (gasp) even as they come through the door" story. Did I mention the journey into a Chthonic underworld, and the discovery of a horribly disfigured man and his worship of an eldritch obelisk? It happened. I was there I tells you!
