Whistle and I'll come to you

A View From A Hill

and in particular i can recommend this youtube video channel: YouTube - GhostWatching's Channel

(Dictated while taking a stroll) I have come to realizewhat a superbly contrived marionette man is. Though without strings attached, one can strut, jump, hop and, moreover, utter words, an elaborately made puppet! Who knows? At the Bon season next year, I may be a new dead invited to the Bon festival. What an evanescent world! This truth keeps slipping off our minds.

I think that "Whistle and I'll Come to You" is the best thing of its kind the BBC has ever produced -- and a serious contender for the title of best ghostly work on film or television. A DVD of it appeared years ago. Inexplicably, this was deleted and now changes hands for high prices. (The cheapest copy on Amazon is currently £55.)

Eh, I was never a big fan of James. I do hear however that a movie adaptation of Gilman's "The Yellow Wallpaper" is in the works. I pray they don't screw it up.

I read about these on the Clark Ashton Smith page Eldritch Dark, but haven't had time to view them yet.

Exciting stuff.
