My Bloody Valentine

At some point, I recall Tom stating that he was fond of MY BLOODY VALENTINE. Being that I was a teen-age music fanatic during the mid-eighties, I had also enjoyed the band and own a couple of cassettes. I thought I would upload one of their albums, "Loveless", and see what folk think of this band. Their music has been described as "beauty under siege" by one admiring critic; "the sound of an everyday netherworld" by another.

Incidentally, the band name was borrowed from a B-rate horror movie which had been released prior to the forming of the band. I remember seeing the flick at some point after I was introduced to the band. Unless I am mixing my horror flicks, for the most part it was your typical "one by one" serial murder flick. As was the custom of the day, the directors main focus was on portraying new and creative death scenes. I think one involved a murder in the laundry mat, wherein a girl was locked inside a dryer. Hot scene. The murderer, unless I am still hallucinating, was an coal miner. He always donned his menacing air mask. Careful with that pickaxe, Cupid.

Re: My Bloody Valentine

LOVELESS is really an excellent album. Back in 1991 when it was released, I kept playing it over and over (to the dismay of some...). I still listen to it once in a while (much more often than the rest of the stuff I was listening to at the time).

A classic, in the purest sense of the term!

So come on, Good Doctor, upload!!!

It should have been available yesterday, ElHI. Perhaps you did not click on the "Loveless" subdirectory of MY BLOODY VALENTINE. I created a subdirectory for the album, since I plan to upload additional MBV material. Also, I have been noticing how cryptic the scroll bar is to operate within AudioBox. I have a fear that some folk may not realize the material further down the list. This may not have been the problem, but it is something I will amend anyway.
