Though I've become fan of Psalm Zero in general (just backed Charlie Looker's Simple Answers crowdfunded project) there is something about this rare acoustic rendition that I love

I seem to be all over the genre of 'Witch House' music at the moment. It seems, to my untrained ears, to represent a far closer examination of the modern Gothic aesthetic than the trad Goth Rock bands of yesteryear.

I wouldn't necessarily say there's a definitive song for 'Witch House', in the same way I wouldn't say there is a definitive artist. In this respect it more closely apes the downloadable nature of today's music, in which individual tracks are more easily released than an entire album. Bearing in mind that 'Witch House' is a genre which, not unlike Black Metal before it, seeks out obscurity. It's for this reason that many 'Witch House' artists stylise their names so as to make them unpronounceable and difficult to search for; such as GL▲SS †33†H or †‡† (pronounced Ritualz)

However, if it's YouTube you're using, then channels such as 'Nightmares and 808's' and 'Untitled Burial' come highly recommended. I've come across many a great artist or band through their channels.
