The Primordial Review

Here are the guidelines for a journal of fiction that I thought would be of interest to everyone here. It has just been opened to submissions, so you'll be among the first to see these, hope some of you submit your work.

THE PRIMORDIAL REVIEW
A Journal of Metaphysical Literature

All genres (and non-genre writing) welcome, but “cosmic horror” is preferred. Keep in mind, the work must be metaphysical or mystical in some way.

Maximum word count for fiction and essays is 7,500 words. There is no minimum, so feel free to submit prose poems, flash fiction, or whatever else you label short pieces.

All submissions, except poetry, must be double-spaced

Please include your name, address, phone number, and email address with all submissions.

Bio is optional

Payment is $6 for fiction, $3 for all other work
The pay for articles is between $3 and $6

Response Time: Varies, please be patient

Email submissions to PrimordialSubmissions@hotmail.com or submit manuscript with SASE to:

Cameron Pierce
10922 Rosslyn Lane

First Issue: Spring 2006 as a POD (print) journal

Re: The Primordial Review

The Primordial Review should be available within a month, so preorders are being taken now. $13 (includes shipping) for over 100 pages of hallucinations, traditional weird tales, and the occasional gore-piece.

Contributors include: Robert Dunbar, Kevin L. Donihe, Darren Speegle (be sure to check out his wonderful collection, A Dirge for the Temporal), Ken Goldman, Bruce Boston, Carlton Mellick III, Lida Broadhurst, Simon Whitechapel, Kristine Ong Muslim, Kenji Siratori, Mike Philbin, John Grey, Nickolas Cook, among others. Also included: four tales by William Scheinman and the two winners of the second Mondo Bizarro Forum story contest. Aeron Alfrey did the cover art/design, so if you're familiar with his work, you know what to expect.

No more than 100-200 copies will be printed. I'll also be throwing in a free gift with all preorders.

If you've got any questions or requests, contact me at PrimordialEditor@hotmail.com.
