I'm still rather fond of that book, although it contains much early work that is, in my modern estimate, poorly written. Jerad and I wanted it to look like a book that might have been publish'd in London in 1890, and so it is tall and lean and features a Beardsley work on ye cover (Jerad fancied that ye figure depicted resembled me in drag--not a very flattering assessment). However flaw'd I now consider ye writing, those early tales contain a certain naive charm for me, because they portray my absolute mania for writing Mythos fiction--a passion that burns within me still and will be reflected in my forthcoming (hopefully at ye end of this year) book from Centipede Press, AN ECSTASY OF FEAR AND OTHERS.

It's a beautiful book, full of beautiful writing. One of my favorite things from Centipede!
