New Godflesh ( "Decline and Fall") released a few days ago, their first new music in 13 years, and the first music I've bought in 5 years. I was so pleased to know that my money is going direct to Mr. Broadrick so he can keep churning out disgusting and pulverizing riffs on record. Since it was a special occasion, I fired up a joint before listening. And I was not disappointed. The teaser song 'Ringer" doesn't hint at the gorgeous brutality contained on this release. They even go back to their roots and have the drum machine pounding out some great tribal beats, and the BASS, oh my god the BASS sounds like a massive angry tractor idling before it slowly crushes yr legs. Essential stuff.
