The White Road reprint!

Just a quick heads up. Ash Tree has now officially (semi-officially) announced the reprint of The White Road. I am copying the email I recieved just a little while ago below:

"Glad to announce that we're in the throes of finalising arrangements with Ron Weighell for a new edition of THE WHITE ROAD. It won't follow the format of the GSP edition. Instead, we'll be adding additional stories and some of Ron's fine articles to make this a two-volume set. With luck, the first volume should be available in the first half of 2011"

This is very good news indeed! I am so pleased to see several works being republished lately or in the near future that have been so scarce and pricey when actually found (Reggie Oliver, Lisa Tuttle, Simon Strantzas, Richard Gavin to name but a few of the authors whose earlier works I sought). It's wonderful to be able to add Ron Weighell to this list!

I know from the introduction to "The White Road" that Ron has had quite a number of novels in draft for many years - be wonderful to see one or two of these see print!

Excellent news! It's about time Ron Weighell's work (fiction and non-fiction) was made available. He is one of the most talented writers of supernatural fiction of the last twenty years, and yet only a handful have had the opportunity to read much of his work.

I'm quite looking forward to this volume. Ash Tree has been in talks a long time to republish it, so it's great to hear it's release is relatively imminent.

I'm lucky enough to have a copy of the original GSP White Road. I believe the contents of the reprint might be different, though. I wonder if it will contain enough new material to warrant having both editions?

I heard it is forthcoming (this year?) as a 2-volume set from Ash Tree. Personally, I cannot wait.

That will be geat. I will be happy to see a 'real' as opposed to 'e' ATP book emerge. The EO box set, sits within view and I hope to read, and review, it within the next week. Weighell has certainly done good stuff in the past so it'll be interesting to see what the latest is like. REGARDS! J
