I own copy "K" of this edition.

"What does it mean to be alive except to court disaster and suffering at every moment?"

Tibet: Carnivals?
Ligotti: Ceremonies for initiating children into the cult of the sinister.
Tibet: Gas stations?
Ligotti: Nothing to say about gas stations as such, although I've always responded to the smell of gasoline as if it were a kind of perfume.

Re: THE SHADOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WORLD - Lettered

I have letter "O", although I thought at first it was a zero, which seemed satisfyingly nihilistic...

Re: THE SHADOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WORLD - Lettered

Could anyone tell me whether the limited lettered edition was leather bound or cloth bound? Is the traycase leather or cloth? thanks in advance...

Re: THE SHADOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WORLD - Lettered

G.S.Carnivals-Thanks for the link. I'm kind of new to collecting Thomas's books. I brought Nightmare Factory way back in the late 90's but have only just started buying his other books. Shadow at the bottom of the world was pretty low down on my list as the stories are available in other books, but the lettered edition sounds very tempting indeed..................Is $350 over priced for this book in your opinion?

Re: THE SHADOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WORLD - Lettered

Well I finally managed to track down a copy of the Lettered edition ['S']at the slightly more reasonable price of $275. Considering it was originally $250 anyway the extra $25 didn't seem so bad.
Although this book was quite low on my list of books to buy I must say I am very happy with the quality of the book and traycase.
Was going to post a couple of pics but don't know how to

Re: THE SHADOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WORLD - Lettered

Here are the photos. For some reason the colour isn't quite right as the inner traycase is lined with a suede type material which is alot more orange/tan in colour than it appears in the photo.
