Re: Erotic Literature
If we're talking about works by Tanizaki that deal with erotic matters, I'd add The Secret History of the Lord of Musashi, which will be especially titillating to those among you who have a fetish for the decapitated heads of samurai and the toilets of aristocratic women. And his short story, The Tattooist, is one of the most famous pieces of erotic literature in the Japanese canon. It will appeal particularly to men with an interest in what we now call 'femdom'.

Re: Erotic Literature
It can be taken as read that anything put out from Chomu is also recommended by me, but I think this, Jeanette by Joe Simpson Walker, is worth a separate mention on this thread:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...om_search=true It's a 400+ page tour de force of particular fetishes and sexual and social taboos.

Kawabata - The House Of Sleeping Beauties
Elderly men pay an establishment to sleep with nude, drugged girls. "Sleep," meaning no physical contact, which the clientele supposedly agree to.

Re: Erotic Literature
I like Masoch's Venus in Furs quite a bit, but more for its ridiculous XIX century melodramaticism than for any erotic qualities.
