It turns out the post office was holding my lettered copy hostage. They claimed they tried to deliver it several times over the last week, but no one was home. That's a lie as my wife works from home. Further, this is literally the first package they didn't just leave on the porch. They also denied having the package the few times I went to the post office. Today, though, they made an error by leaving me a final notice, giving me proof that they had my book.

So, I apologize to Dark Regions for initially assuming they were at fault. Next time, I won't be a cheapskate and will spring for the expedited shipping.

Don't blame the post office. They were only doing their job, trying to protect your friable mind from the horrors that lurk within those eldritch pages. You've seen through their meagre deceptions; may the old ones have mercy upon your soul.
