I guess it'd be nice if antinatalism was refined a bit.

Do antinatalists want the world to end violently? Do we want a group of elite people to destroy everything? That way the evil survival instinct will perish?

Probably not, but one intention tends to meet the other somewhere along the line without meaning to.

Why not? Do you think intellectuals are somehow exempt from feeling the often unbearable weight of the "cross" of becoming and are somehow free from the urge for total annihilation? Thinking doesn't make human life lighter and more easily borne. It doesn't weaken the destructive impulse, the will-to-death. As often as not it strengthens it. Thinking doesn't lead to the end of aggression, since it itself is often a form of and vehicle for aggression.

Speaking for myself, I hope that antinatalism enters mainstream thought as a sort of radical form of humanism and environmentalism, and another Childless Revolution occurs and concludes with the extinction of humanity.
