Re: Scott Walker

I've only played the album once so far but my favourite track is The Day the Conducator Died (An Xmas Song). Wonderfully haunting with the sort of clanging guitar sound that made Howard Shore's soundtrack to Cronenberg's Crash such a pleasure.
Scott was interviewed on Jarvis Cocker's radio show:
BBC iPlayer - Jarvis Cocker's Sunday Service: 02/12/2012
The interview starts at about the 46 minute mark.
Interview in The Guardian here:
Scott Walker: Brother beyond | Music | The Guardian
There are also interviews in the issue 346 of The Wire:
The Wire Issue 346 - December 2012
and the current issue of Mojo:

Re: Scott Walker

Awful news, especially as he was still at the height of his creative powers.

Re: Scott Walker

One of the people who most give me hope for being your best in old age. Really sucks that we didn't get a few more albums out of him. Great horror music too.

Though I still haven't got some of the soundtracks and the Ute Lemper collaborations.

Unless the situation has changed it's only the Japanese release of Ute Lemper's Punishing Kiss CD that contains both the Scott Walker tracks (Scope J and Lullaby).
It still seems to be available from online shops.
