Re: What Are You Doing For The Solar Eclipse?

Not a full eclipse where I live but was able to enjoy some eerie light for a few minutes. I didn't try to observe the sun, just enjoyed the strange dreamlike lighting outside for a while.

I have a half brother who got caught up in some doomsday numerology regarding the eclipse to the point that he actually flew from Hawaii to Israel to await the second coming. He arrived in Tel Aviv today with less than $200.00 to his name. His computer and phone were confiscated by German customs. Different stokes for different folks I guess.

Re: What Are You Doing For The Solar Eclipse?

I'm southeast of Nashville by a titch, and the University here was an official NASA viewing location, but it was so insanely packed and loud that a fellow research student and I went out to the University farm. He brought one of his drones and got some amazing footage. The whole experience was fascinatingly bizarre and somewhat eerie. It was like the body knew something was off, and the way the sun shone right before and after was very strange. So glad I experienced it the way I did. It was amazing.

Re: What Are You Doing For The Solar Eclipse?

I feel blessed that the eclipse came to me in Oregon only about 20 miles from the line of totality. It was a perfect day and a very cool experience. I only wish it lasted longer and that I had younger eyes to see more detail of the corona. The drop in temperature was eerie.

I was a little let down in that it didn't scare me. But I guess I have DJT for that.
