Re: Sarob Press

Exciting indeed!

Very welcome news. Copy is ordered.

Now if someone would reprint The White Road . . .

Speaking of The White Road . . . copies are very expensive. It's too bad, that book looks like it's right up my alley. Someday . . .

Re: Sarob Press

Ash-Tree Press has recently announced that its new edition of The White Road (which is now a straight reprint rather than an expanded version) is due later this year, so there should be a more affordable version pretty soon. An e-book of the reprint is also planned, though the timeframe on that isn't clear yet.

Re: Sarob Press

Is that a hardcover reprint? I didn't know that Ash-Tree was still in business except for ebooks and remaining stock. If they resume publishing I'll be happy as a clam.

And with all my talk about The White Road I think this Sarob Press release is just as important to me, if not more.

I'm one of those who own it (after a dramatic increase in wage last year), and I would definitely recommend waiting for the ATP version, provides it will be published.

Re: Sarob Press

The planned Ash-Tree reprint is a hardcover, yes. Christopher Roden declined to say whether this is a one-off or a return to print publishing; considering the problems they've had over the past few years, I doubt he'd want to confirm the latter until things were a little further along.

Re: Sarob Press

My collection of stories Journeys Beyond Advice is now back in print after many years of being unavailable. First published in 2002 by Sarob Press I decided to reissue it as a paperback by my own small press. The book features two novellas, two novelettes and three short stories.

This collection has a more 'gothicky' flavour than most of my books and two of the stories (a novella and novelette) were directly inspired by William Hope Hodgson. The first of these got a lot of praise at the time from various critics and reviewers and was my attempt to blend the concerns of Hogdson with those of Borges.

Anyway, the book is available again, this time as a paperback. It will be available on Amazon soon but in the meantime it can only be bought from Lulu here. I did my best to keep costs down but it's a hefty book.

SUMMONINGS by RON WEIGHELL

Sarob Press is delighted to present the first hardcover collection of wholly supernatural stories by Ron Weighell since the now fabulously sought after and extremely rare The White Road (Ghost Story Press, 1996) ~ signed copies now commanding many hundreds of pounds U.K. sterling. Order your copy of this rather special book NOW.
