Chomu Press
It occurred to me that it might be a good idea to start a Chomu Press thread here, especially with Chomu's second book now in the offing.
Here's some information on that book: http://chomupress.com/our-books/fort...h-tastes-like/ Other books are in the pipeline, and I do believe that many of them will be of interest to TLO members. Please watch this space, etc. Thank you.

Re: Chomu Press
There should be news up about the Reggie Oliver book relatively soon. The Mark Samuels book will take longer to come out, as it is not yet in its final form. Sorry this information is so scant, but more news will appear on the website as and when.
Thanks to Evans for posting the links, and to everyone else for the interest.

Re: Chomu Press
As am I Corman. Brendan's work is oddly under regarded. His recent book, Metrophilias, is a modern Decadent classic (I don't just mean this in terms of corrupt and deviant beauty but also in the sense of the mystical the Symbolist Movement tried to convey) and I would be happy to recommend any other of his books merely on the strength of that collection.

Re: Chomu Press
For that matter, and regarding what's been said on other threads, I think the Ligotti board has had, since its conception, its own sub-forum of bona-fide "Ligotti influenced authors". So any charge of self-promotion aimed at those on that list seems a tad pointless.
Others, especially author latecomers who have little to contribute to a greater understanding of Ligotti and his influence, should look long and hard at themselves, imo, especially when they're busily promoting themselves not only here but elsewhere. Not that they will, of course. They'll turn it into a "you're an snob" argument, and happily use this not so much as a messageboard but as an advertising board. Mark S. |

Re: Chomu Press
I'm excited to see what you've got planned for Chomu as well. I was introduced to your work this year via the recommendations from the Ex Occidente and Tartarus sites, and acquired The White Hands, Glyphotech and The Man Who Collected Machen soon after. I've nearly finished the first and started on the second. "Vrolyck" and "Sentinels" were top shelf cosmic weirdness. |
