Wait, you had a birthday?

Hope it was wonderful, Jon. Do you realize we are both now the same age as HPL when he died? I say this not morbidly but simply as a matter of observation. 46 has long loomed in my mind as a milestone because of the Lovecraft connection. Reaching that age myself has made me feel with renewed force the fact of just how early it was when his thread was cut by the fates.

Yeah, I've been thinking about it a lot. Am finally reaching the end of Joshi's epic (and astonishing) HPL bio, I AM PROVIDENCE. Humbling.
