The cover of I Wonder What Human Flesh Tastes Like by Justin Isis will look very much like this:

More will be revealed. Personally, I think this is a great book. Very British, in a good way, very up-to-date, realistic and camp and all sorts of other things at the same time. I imagine that this will appeal both to fans of the crime genre and to people who are not especially fans.

I'll see what I can find out about this. There are no US pre-orders yet, either, for some reason, and I don't actually know why (not my department, as they say, but I'll see what info I can get).

Re: Chomu Press

Okay, I have an answer to the pre-order question.

The reason that the pre-order function is not available yet for the US and Canada is apparently because Chomu is a UK-based publisher and the information currently uploaded (the Nielson information) has the price in pounds (which gets converted for the other Amazon countries, into euros and yen, but doesn't get converted into dollars, it seems). Pre-ordering will be available before the actual release dates of the books, because there's a further stage of uploading, but we're looking into how to make this happen sooner.

I hope that's of some help.

Hello. I'm afraid I'm going to have to be a bit of a wet blanket and say it's not actually available yet. While adjustments were being made to get the book available for pre-order on the US Amazon, something happened so that Amazon listed it as in stock.

The release date, I'm afraid to say, is still the 19th of January. I don't think the status will return to 'pre-order' (Amazon seems clunkily inflexible in some ways), but will probably say something like, 'in stock again soon'. Soon being January.

Apologies for this.

I think some people have actually ordered the book having seen it in stock. I don't actually know if they will receive 'pre-release' copies as a result of this, or whether the books will only actually be sent on the release date. In any case, sorry for the mix up.

I hope those who have ordered or pre-ordered will find the wait (long or short) worth it. Personally speaking, this is my favourite work of Reggie Oliver's that I have read so far.

Re: Chomu Press

The email I got said "in stock", I knew it probably wasn't but when I went on to the site it said "for pre-order", so I was happy to do so.

At this point I'm just happy that the book will be released (and in the not too far off future).
