First collection, The Lure of Devouring Light

I had intended to post here on the occasion of the announcement of my first collection, The Lure of Devouring Light. Better late than never...

Today, the publisher Word Horde revealed the book's cover, so maybe that's an even better occasion. You'll find Word Horde's cover reveal post here:

Cover Reveal: The Lure of Devouring Light | Word Horde

The book may be of interest to some on this forum. It does include "Diamond Dust," my story from the The Grimscribe's Puppets, the Ligotti tribute edited by Joseph S. Pulver Sr.

Re: First collection, The Lure of Devouring Light

As a disclaimer I should state that I consider Mike to be a good friend of mine. Friendship aside, I read all of these stories as he put the collection together and I think it's going to be one of the collections of the year.

I would say that the collection is worth it for Far From Streets alone, but all of the stories stand up really well.

The interaction between couples seems to be a prominent theme throughout many stories, and something Mike handles extremely well.

Also...that cover!

My thanks to Justin/Malachi_Constant too!

This morning, my wife posted a brief "book trailer" video she made.

Re: First collection, The Lure of Devouring Light

I've avoided posting too frequently about this, but I suppose an update is in order, as the book has now been released!

The official release was April 30, so this past weekend I appeared in San Pedro, California at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival, signed copies of the book, and participated in a reading and a panel discussion on Cosmic Horror.
