Happy Songs for Happy People
- It's been over a year and over 300 songs put up since I began the world's saddest music thread, and while I still have a preference for music in a minor key, it feels like time for something completely different. Starting today, a thread devoted to the opposite: upbeat tunes, those songs that make you happy, or at the least, help to make existence that much more tolerable.
-People like to make the claim that a certain album or band 'saved their life', but in the case of this first piece of music that's not entirely an exaggeration; back in high school I had walking pneumonia for three months - I was shuffling around like a zombie, came in danger of flunking a math class, and had my first experience with depression. It was thanks in no small part to the following song, listened to daily or even hourly, that I was able to keep my head above water: | |||||||||||
