Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

I just used FlashChat and experienced no problems (didn't clear my cache, cookies et cetera). As you will know by now, I use the Opera browser (9.27).

Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

I just finished a brief Chat session with Jezetha. My error was in clearing the junk in Windows under Internet Options, not within my browser (Firefox) itself. Chalk it up to my en state of late...

Ligotti: Nothing to say about gas stations as such, although I've always responded to the smell of gasoline as if it were a kind of perfume.

Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

Not having been on flashchat for several weeks, I just tried it. It seemed be working fine. A bit echoey, though, with no one else about to reply to my "Hello!"

Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

Problems seemed to persist last week, though my workweek and general mood was such that I was unable to try yet another re-install. If problems are encountered this week, please be sure to report back with details.

Details of Interest
  • Was anyone rejected access to FlashChat from the outset, or were entry problems only encountered after being kicked out?
  • How many members were in FlashChat when problems first occurred.
  • Does clearing of the browser cache appear to correct any issues?
  • Does there seem to be any commonality between members being kicked out of FlashChat (i.e. inactivity)?
  • What happens when you are kicked out of FlashChat?
  • What happens when you are denied access to FlashChat?

As a bigger question, does anyone recall encountering this behavior before the upgrade of FlashChat? Thanks in advance for your continued patience. In the event that we still encounter problems and the issues appear to be common with both versions of FlashChat, I will be re-installing the latest version and working from that base.

Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

I just went into flashchat and posted a message to myself (there was no one else about). It seems to be working perfectly.... as far as I can tell, anyway.

Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

Not much to report. A kind of limbo with no activity. Posting would knock me off. Peeked outside at ShoutBox twice. Knocked off twice. Otherwise random. A relogin required for FlashChat each time under all circumstances.

Thanks, Phil. I work on a clean install of the latest version over the week.

Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

Now that I think about it, Waterdweller, Neurospaston, Cyril Tourneur, and Aggeliki seemed to be the most affected by expulsion. In my case, it was about four times.

Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

I was kicked out once over the half-hour that I was there and had to re-login to get back in.

Re: FlashChat Upgrade Woes

I was kicked out 4 or 5 times..The screen turned blue and a small window showed up asking me some kind of password. I just closed the Flashchat screen and re-log in.

All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream..
