H.P. Lovecraft's New York

Apologies if anyone has posted this before, but I only came across this today myself: an online 'Google street view' of New York from c.100 years ago give or take 10-20 years. One can browse Lovecraft's NY: Clinton St, Red Hook etc.

Re: H.P. Lovecraft's New York

So cool. I already went exploring. I so want to live in this world gone by, no matter its flaws, chief of which is a lack of air conditioning.

Put your faith in God; he won't expect you.
Put your faith in death, because it's free.
If you believe in nothing, honey, it believes in you.

Yes, I have that nostalgia too, and I'm shamelessly sticking with it, no matter how anyone tells me about contemporary dentistry, painkillers, the internet etc etc.
