As for being a meme, I must admit, it's peculiar to see myself in that format, but I suppose, being a writer, I did in some sense ask for it.

Re: Antinatalism humor

My girlfriend is a vegan, because she is against cruelty to animals and to improve her health. I must say all of the stuff she eats is delicious.

Though I can't see myself being able to be one, I do know how to prepare a very decent vegan cheese.

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

"Tell me how you want to die, and I'll tell you who you are. In other words, how do you fill out an empty life? With women, books, or worldly ambitions? No matter what you do, the starting point is boredom, and the end self-destruction. The emblem of our fate: the sky teeming with worms. Baudelaire taught me that life is the ecstasy of worms in the sun, and happiness the dance of worms."

The funniest antinatalism is that in the fiction of Thomas Ligotti.

The problem is that a meme lacks sentience. It's hard to imagine a piece of writing experiencing gratuitous suffering.

The reason antinatalists are opposed to reproduction is because of the nature of existence. If existence had occurred under a different set of conditions, then reproduction might not be so problematic.

"In a less scientific age, he would have been a devil-worshipper, a partaker in the abominations of the Black Mass; or would have given himself to the study and practice of sorcery. His was a religious soul that had failed to find good in the scheme of things; and lacking it, was impelled to make of evil itself an object of secret reverence."

~ Clark Ashton Smith, "The Devotee of Evil"

I pray that it is so.

I believe there are antinatalists who would say suffering is intrinsic to sentience and would deny, at least if sentience emerges, that any set of conditions could ever be good.

Re: Antinatalism humor

I didn't mean "being" in a philosophical sense. I thought of using "to be a meme" but it seemed clunky. I meant to say that his quote and picture can spread everywhere without his consent and I thought he would disapprove.

An antinatalist's rap:

"Tell me how you want to die, and I'll tell you who you are. In other words, how do you fill out an empty life? With women, books, or worldly ambitions? No matter what you do, the starting point is boredom, and the end self-destruction. The emblem of our fate: the sky teeming with worms.
