Just to let everyone know: This book is currently at the printer's. Unfortunately their date for delivery in the UK is mid-November - so things are a bit behind, but that said the book should be quite nice, with sewn binding etc etc.

Quick update on this. The books are printed and in the possession of a certain gentleman. The pre-orders will be shipped next week I believe. There are I think around 70-80 copies of the print run left. Here are some photos of the book to prove that it really does exist: The books are out of the boxes | Snuggly Books

I'm still suspicious but it loooks great--even though it is probably just a copy of The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen with that mock up dust-jacket and a mock up of the title page inserted.

You managed to somehow make the dust-jacket design spoof/reference of both Penguin Classics and Centipede Press! Really quite an achievement.

It looks much thicker than I expected but then The Corrections is a pretty thick book, now that I think of it.

I should have really posted a message like this days ago, but, actually, experience teaches that, wherever one posts them on the Net, most informational messages are completely missed, whereas the I'll-never-live-it-down rants and general embarrassingness are always picked up on. Also... well, enough of excuses. The message:

In about an hour, I'll be heading to a secret location near Brighton in order to assist in the preparations for sending out the first copies of The Cutest Girl in Class. I'll be taking the purikura stickers with me, and some scissors and pens, etc. The question is: does anyone who has pre-ordered want a special inscription? I'll sign the books, anyway, unless someone specifically asks me not to.

We didn't promise all three authors signing, because we were unsure, with the printing schedule, and the authors being on separate continents, whether that would be practicable, but there are the purikura, &c.

So, anyway, if you want a special inscription, please write to: evans_lichamleas [at] yahoo [dot] com

Within the next couple of hours, I'd say.
