Re: D.F. Lewis

I hereby present a series of books I created (for personal use) back in 2008-09 collecting the stories by D. F. Lewis that formed, at the time, 99% of the impenetrable Weirdmoger Wheel. Being an obsessive collector, I gave the series the title "The Collected Fiction of D. F. Lewis," which obviously doesn't mean "complete". And indeed, it is obvious, it will never be possible to publish a complete collection of fiction by the author. Even my series from 2008-09 spans 10 volumes out of the planned 13. I still hope to find time one day to complete the three missing ones. Regardless of when this will happen (if ever), I thought it's about time I posted pictures of this collection on the thread that started it all.

Here are some details for those 10 volumes:
- total number of pages (A4, text in two columns): 2666
- table of contents of all volumes runs for 50 pages!
- volumes contain stories, novellas, novels and collaborations
- Peter Jeffery's comments to the novel "The Visitor" are printed as House-of-Leaves-styled footnotes and in HPLHS-Lovecraft Cursive font (I don't remember why I chose that particular font)

Not to mention the fact that the collection is quite impressive, really!

Re: D.F. Lewis

I was elated to see these images pop up and quickly rushed to read the accompanying text to sort out just how I could procure this treasure collection, only to find that it is one of a kind. The horror!

Re: D.F. Lewis

Those are awesome, Slawek! What a treasure and a resource.

I thought about doing something similar for "The Passion of Dr. Voke" opera, but I wouldn't know where to begin.

Re: D.F. Lewis

Thank you all for your kind words. I really put a lot of work into these. It actually took me two years to compile, organize and print the 10 volumes. I think it was a good lesson in the basics of text editing and the result is worth the effort.

In order to satisfy my instincts of a bibliomaniac, if time allows, I will prepare similar volumes with "Der Orchideengarten" scans that I have managed to locate on the web and which I recently mentioned here.

Re: D.F. Lewis

I would like to thank, Yellowish Haze. I knew this project was afoot, but wow! You do me a great honour. I'll feel guilty now when I decide to rewrite a story! :| Des

Re: D.F. Lewis

I currently have for sale THE LAST BALCONY and WEIRDTONGUE at the same price as they were previously sold by Amazon before the InkerMen Press closed its publishing business. They can be signed.
Once the 'The Last Balcony' has gone, my two novellas 'The Apocryfan' and 'Yesterfang' within it will become unavailable unless they are reprinted by another independent publisher. However, my reading aloud of both novellas should still be available free but I haven't checked its on-line viability for a long time.*

My reviewing of other writers' works continues apace: here.

*(later today) I have now checked and my reading aloud of The Hawler, Klaxon City, Weirdtongue, The Apocryfan and YESTERFANG seems to be fully available as linked from here: DFL Readings Aloud | NEMONYMOUS: .
