Haunted Air

Apologies if someone has mentioned this book on the forum already but I found this collection of vintage Halloween photographs (compiled by Ossian Brown) to be strongly Ligottian:
http://strangeattractor.co.uk/curiosities/haunted-air/
It contains some remarkably eerie images, particularly the top one here:

and the one on the cover of the book which seems to be dissolving under the weight of its own strangeness.
No wonder David Lynch agreed to write the introduction...

Re: Haunted Air

I've just acquired it. It's incredibly haunting and fascinating. Actually gave me nightmares, something which is rarely so directly induced in me by outside sources (I believe the last time something like that happened was after reading 'Mysterium Tremendum' by Laird Barron).

The individual pictures are very funny and scary individually, but the accumulation seems to be what is really making the book so special. I hope for a follow-up.
