Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

Thomas Jefferson by Ken Burns. He dies at the end. Jefferson. Not Ken Burns.

"The Killing." It's been canceled, but for neo-Scandanavian angst with lots of rainy days (It takes place in the U.S. Northwest) it's great.
The newest DVD release of "Walking Dead" is imminent. I smell a marathon coming on. "Rescue Me." Super conservative values, but edgy and angry and absorbing. I second "Carnivale." Amazing. Now, can somebody tell me more about "Penny Dreadful??"

Re: Last TV show you watched
I watched the entire series of the 1970s juvenile drama, Children of the Stones, today. Despite being labelled a ''children's programme'', I imagine many minors were utterly flabbergasted at the rambling dialogue concerning psychic energy stored in ancient standing stones, astrophysics and supernovae, and ''psychometry''. Of course, the 1970s was a time when black magic and occultism and New Age spiritualism and generally anything unusual and esoteric was commonplace, so the youths of back then may not entirely have been at a loss. Either way, it is certainly among the most intelligent serials aimed at children, and I know of no other television, film, or book, save the works of Nigel Kneale, that fuses modern astrophysics with pagan Druidry.

The Agent Carter spin-off from Captain America: The First Avenger. Fun 1940s super-spy action.

Re: Last TV show you watched
I second Hell-Ghost's critique and enthusiasm for Children of the Stones. I have the DVD and it is well worth watching. Made for children, but really creepy and uncanny in an adult way.
But the last TV show I saw with any kind of enjoyment was the sixth season of Walking Dead. Zombies seem to be over done and over rated, but I like to see how monstrous the humans are, usually they are worse than the zombies.
