Okay, I made it to episode 3 and am DONE. I can't take it anymore. This show is like eating little powdered donuts; I convinced myself that it wasn't bad, I didn't really want them initially but they were being offered, and so I ate them and as soon as I put it in my mouth I knew it was crap but I still kept eating the things. So, a third of the bag through and I'm sick now. Great.

I downloaded the first two episodes and they sat there in my computer for a week until I decided not to bother with them. Hell, I read The Big Nowhere ten years ago.

Two co-workers of mine feel the same way. They were fans of the first season. They watched the first two episodes of the second season, considered those episodes 'meh'. After episode three, they gave up on the show.

So far, though, the ratings of Season Two are quite good.

I'm not surprised that Episode 1 of Season 2 had high ratings--people viewed it with the expectation that it would be similar to last season. It will be interesting to see if ratings decline.

I am struggling to even bother. Everything, thematically, seems either forced, to the point of being crow-barred into the script, or ridiculously derivative, which is even worse. Not only that, but the more I watch it, the more campy it seems and the more I have a hard time taking it seriously. The more that time goes by, the less interesting it becomes, at least for me. It's becoming a showcase for old, tired, tropes, memes, stereotypes, and character portrayals.

I loved season 1, though not from the beginning. Season 2 is having a shaky start, BUT I am watching the end of episode 3 and will follow it with episode 4 which I hear has a DYNAMITE shootout. Fingers crossed.

good episode , but will have to be consistently better for me to spend the time watching.

Episode 4 was the first genuinely good episode of this season so far. I can't remember anything off-hand that really bugged me about it, though I'm pretty sure there were probably a few-- the crap Vince Vaughan says more than likely. Either way, it was all overshadowed by the intense action sequence at the end. It had me on the edge of my seat.

Oh, and the small bit about 'auras' gave me a good laugh, which I think was intentional.
