S.T. Joshi's new Cthulhu anthology will have a story from Tom
Tom will have a story in the new Cthulhu anthology, A Mountain Walked. Not sure which story. Also, there are 25 signatures including Tom's, T.E.D. Klein, etc. It comes out in July from Centipede Press.
More images: http://i.imgur.com/1vyDRxL.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DSZYHaz.jpg It contains a whopping 29 stories (10 of them original), along with spectacular art portfolios by Erlend Mørk, Allen Koszowski, and Stanley C. Sargent, along with much other work. Some of the authors include Joseph S. Pulver, Sr., Donald Tyson, Cody Goodfellow, Caitlin Kiernan, Laird Barron, Michael Shea, Patrick McGrath, Mark Samuels, and Gemma Files. Also the book contains new artwork by David Ho, John Kenn Mortensen, and Thomas Ott. The book is oversized at 11 x 7 inches and contains 692 pages. Joshi hints on his blog that the price may be around $125 but is not totally sure. Centipede also says they’ll have the book on sale for the first couple weeks and they expect to have 500 copies sometime in mid to late July. Each copy is signed by Thomas Ligotti, T.E.D. Klein, Laird Barron, Caitlin Kiernan, and many others. The signature pages are signed by 25 people; Centipede went halfway around the world for signatures

Re: S.T. Joshi's new Cthulhu anthology will have a story from Tom
I just posted some of the images on Facebook. I am super-excited about this book. I thought that S. T. had posted the Table of Contents on his blog, but it may have been in his E.O.D. apazine. I'll try to find ye Contents and list it here. The art that I have seen for it is exceptional.

Re: S.T. Joshi's new Cthulhu anthology will have a story from Tom
I just received the Sunday Centipede and it said there are to be new stories by Barron and Samuels, among others, included in A Mountain Walked.
Actually more than that. Here's what it said: This book has over 25 stories, including new stories by Joseph S. Pulver, Sr., Donald Tyson, Cody Goodfellow, Caitlin Kiernan, Laird Barron, Michael Shea, Patrick McGrath, Mark Samuels, Gemma Files, and others. The book also has new artwork by David Ho, John Kenn Mortensen, and Thomas Ott.

Re: S.T. Joshi's new Cthulhu anthology will have a story from Tom
I think this question about whether I have a new story in the centipede book has cropped up here somewhere before on the TLO, so I may be repeating myself.
Anyway, it's not a new story it's my tale "A Gentleman from Mexico". I haven't seen any signature sheets myself. It may be that the cost of sending them over to the U.K. was prohibitive, but I am not entirely sure. Anyway, it certainly looks like being a stupendously awesome anthology. Mark S. |

Obviously the Contents on Joe's blog is incomplete. I remember that Shea has a story in it as S. T. was lamenting the fact that his was the one signature that the sheets would be lacking. And I thought I had read that there was a story by Laird. It's very curious that Mark hasn't gotten the signature sheets yet, as I thought S. T. was under the impression that everyone had signed them by now.

Yea, that's kind of weird that Mark hasn't gotten the signature sheets. The newsletter said there were 25 signatures. Who signed it if not all the authors?!
Also, regarding Laird's story, his blog says it's a novella called "Man with No Name." I haven't heard of it before so I think it may be original content? More info: A Mountain Walks in July | Laird Barron

Speaking of which, really excited to see Thomas Ott listed in there. I love his comics. I wonder which story he's providing artwork for.

Re: S.T. Joshi's new Cthulhu anthology will have a story from Tom
Apparently an overturned ouija board, a few signature sheets marked "A Mountain Walked/ HPL", as well as a planchette with an antique Waterman ink pen attached to it were allegedly recovered from the scene and form the only clue as to the obscure motives of the nocturnal cemetery interlopers. Re: S.T. Joshi's new Cthulhu anthology will have a story from Tom
The explanation that comes to mind is that these robed figures were small-press cultists trying to invoke the spirits of those writers; their goal: to beat S.T. Joshi to the punch and compile the Lovecraftian anthology to end all Lovecraftian anthologies. They had the ouija board, the robes, the candles, the forbidden grimoires, everything they needed for a successful seanse. Only, they failed to realize the people listed in those sheets are very much alive...

"Who's the author?" He said. "Mark Samuels." She replied. "Never heard of him. When did he die?" "He's not dead." "You're mistaken, Tartarus Press only publishes dead authors." Smile among the gods, for this is fame. Mark S. |
