Thanks, all. Very kind of the esteemed Dr Bantham to add that link too.

Regarding the essay from 1988 about you Des, I've avoided drawing attention to stuff about writers that I penned many moons ago. That's why I didn't mention the Simon Clark thing from an old Dementia 13 either. Time's made them redundant and little more than curiosity pieces.

Hi, Mark. Just thought the list should be complete in accordance with your Locus listing. It's only a minor point with regard to a great site about a great talent - but that 1989 Dagon-published essay is a light-hearted signpost in particular to your own views on driving a car (rather than on the supposed intended subject-matter of the essay)!
Perhaps with your permission I should put the essay on one of my blogs?? :-)

Hi, Mark. Thanks. As I implied before, this is a very minor point with regard to a great site about a genuinely great writer such as yourself - but you did ask at the beginning of this thread for suggestions for additions. And this 1989 Dagon article (relatively substantial in wordage and interesting, I feel, for the Mark Samuels completist) is included on your Locus listing.
all the best, des

Re: My Website (marksamuels.net)

Forgive me, Mark, but as this is a thread about your new website and your own call for suggested additions - unless I am mistaken there is an omission (more important than my previous observed omission, I think) relating to the interesting magazine edited and published by yourself: "The Stygian Dreamhouse". Of course, I may have missed mention of it in your new website, but I recommend to Mark Samuels fans that, objectively (and I do have it in front of me to consult), this is an important and, indeed, worthy piece in the jigsaw representing the tracery of maps in your developing landscape of imagination and creativity.

Having said all that, as editor of Nemonymous, I do have some sympathy with opaque tracing-paper.

Anymore Time Between
Bob Mould

What you say / what you mean
And the space between those words
What you know / anymore
I dont think so anymore
What you say / what you mean
And the distance thats between
Those two words / anymore
I dont think so anymore

What you say / what you mean
I dont think so anymore
Anymore / time between
What you say and what you mean

I need more
To talk to you so bad
So bad I could
Cry again, just like last time
Dont cry any more / I dont mind
Its a waste of time

Dont need anymore / time between
Between those words, you and me
Time between you and me / anymore
Anymore / time between / I dont think so any more
Time between / whatd you say
I dont think so anymore
I need more / you need
More is what you say
Anymore (Ill go away)

Sick of yourself / sick of yourself
Sick of being someone else
Im sick of myself / sick of
Everything I am / any

Time between / you and/ everything
Time between / you and / this

Look at me / look at me
Im as useless as can be
No time anymore / not tired anymore
Tired of what you see in me
Time between / you and me
Time between two words any more
Not anymore / not anymore
Its the time between you and me

Not any more / not any more
Its the time between you and me
Any more

Re: My Website (marksamuels.net)

That's a wonderful poem to read, Mark. Thanks for posting it. I've never read it before. Isn't the internet wonderful?

I've started a series of contents lists of what I consider to be landmark Small Press publications of the eighties and nineties - and having been stirred to think of 'The Stygian Dreamhouse', I have started with this here:

Good luck with the new website. I hope you didn't mind me taking up your offer of suggested additions. I'm sure there are others I should suggest.

Those are actually song lyrics from a solo album by Bob Mould, though they certainly are to be considered poetry as well. Bob was also the front man of the Minneapolis punk band Hüsker Dü and thereafter Sugar. Being a teen in the early/mid eighties, this brings back some the few positive memories I have from the period - being music related. Of course, there was also the weed. Offered as a timely bit of trivia, the name Hüsker Dü was borrowed from a Danish board game. Translation - "Do you remember?"[align=left:9c4cc6763e][/align:9c4cc6763e]

I think that I once asked Tom whether he was into Bob Mould's work, but I don't recall that he was familiar with it. Personally, I think BM's a genius.

Thanks, btw, Des.
