Re: A really long top 5 video game question?
Sorry for necroposting but I thought I would just leave my response here. Maybe someone will find anything suitable for him here.
1. Shooter: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo: Reach, Borderlands. 2. RPG: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Mass Effect 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age: Origins, The Witcher 2. 3. Fighting: Super Street Fighter IV, Tekken 6, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat (2011), Soulcalibur IV. 4. Sport: FIFA 12, NBA 2K12, Madden NFL 12, MLB 11: The Show, NHL 12. Regarding the "Etc." category, bubble games have always been fun, right? Well, there's a modern one called Bubble Cash, it's a free-to-play, bubble-shooter game where you can win real cash. Is bubble cash legit? Absolutely yes, give it a go and you'll see that for yourself. | |||||||||||

Re: A really long top 5 video game question?
I used to play Battlefield 2, and I just found out that many are still playing it even though there are newer versions of the game.
You choose from assault, medic, special operations, anti-tank, engineer, and sniper. As you play more, you gain experience and can unlock better weapons and equipment, like armor-piercing sniper rifles, laser-guided missiles, booby traps, and street sweepers. The game has several different maps (desert, town, city, forest, beach with aircraft carrier, island, oil rig platform, coastal town night-fighting), armies (Middle Eastern Coalition, People's Liberation Army special forces, U.S. Marines, U.S. Navy Seals, British Special Air Service, Russian Spetsnaz, EU military) and various vehicles you can use: all-terrain vehicles, armored personnel carriers, battle tanks, gunships, attack choppers, and jet fighters with bombs. One player can also become commander and issue artillery attacks on areas guided by a radar-equipped drone. What made it fascinating is that you can play with a group and in campaigns against another group. But you need a more powerful computer and "twitch" (learn to move the mouse and keyboard quickly). For those who want things slower and make it look like a chess game, there's World of Tanks, where everyone's in a tank, and there are different types: light for recon and harrassment, medium for flanking, heavy for brawling, destroyer for sniping, and mobile artillery. Like Battlefield 2, it also has numerous tanks, maps, and experience requirements for equipment, crew, etc. The weird thing is that I played these because I enjoy the strategizing and on-line company (you have to join your clan and then practice on the map, figuring out what each one needs to do). For single-player games, Mass Effect and Dragon Age are remarkable because they they a lot of storytelling and world-building. Finally, I enjoyed playing NFL and similar in the past for similar reasons as the shooters and strategy games, as you need to figure out which players and plays to use, etc. Last point: there are now many games available, and several free for basic features, if not free overall with money made from bling sold that you might not need, but I can't say much about them because there are too many to choose from. Also, several platforms routinely give some games for free, like Steam, GOG, and Epic, and I usually get several of them and add them to my library without installing them because I lack disk space. For example, Epic now is offering Fallout: Vegas (Ultimate Ed). |
