Re: Mr. Edington's Gallery

A very chilly piece, which kept me reading despite the fact that my back is quite painful after my first day's work in the garden in weeks. A growing sense of dread and an ending that doesn't disappoint.

Thank you for the reply! I hope your back gets to feeling better.

Re: Mr. Edington's Gallery

I'm certain it's only the length of this piece (4,700 plus words) that explains the paucity of 'thanks' being offered so far. The wordlength is ideal for hard-copy publication, but often self-defeating for web browsing. In the days when I published Filthy Creations I was looking for material like this. I see you have other stories in the repository and with time this one, like those, will get more attention. But really, this one should be in someone's anthology.

Re: Mr. Edington's Gallery

I suspected that was the case shortly after I posted it. I'm trying to gather enough courage to send my stuff away, but I have a relentless fear of rejection. My plan was to finish a collection of short stories and eventually self-publish them.

I greatly appreciate your comments, especially given your background.

A very nice piece, Mr. V! I missed it when it was first posted.

Reread your story, Mr. Veech. It's a keeper for sure. It really should be published.

Re: Mr. Edington's Gallery

Thank you. I'll eventually return to this one in order to do a few more revisions. I'll probably start submitting once I'm through. The encouragement here is legitimate as well as reassuring given that you guys are my target audience.
