TAROVFAOGT Trade Paperback Edition

"The Agonizing Resurrection of Victor Frankenstein and Other Gothic Tales"
Trade Paperback Edition

I own two copies of the trade paperback edition. While these are not specifically numbered and the print quantity is rather high, it is nonetheless a limited edition.

One thousand copies were printed.

I own one of these as well. It was published by Silver Salamander Press in 1994 with a frontispiece by Brian Short and an introduction by Michael Shea in the form of his poem, "Good-Tom-Go-Lightly." The "Statement of Limitation" page in the back, where the limit of 1000 copies is announced, bears signatures by both Ligotti and Shea.

I agree that it's a beautiful edition, by the way.

I've just won an auction for a copy of it for $99.99 from John Pelan. Guess I'm a lucky one Grin. It is signed by John as well, as he is the editor of this book.

Great way to begin the week, don't you think?

PS: It would almost make me change my mind about e-bay....

Congratulations! You have managed quite a bargain, at that. Especially considering it is mint and straight from John Pelan. I have seen extensively worn copies sell for more.

I've got it in the mail yesterday!

It's great to behold and I can't wait to begin reading it! And, yes, I was lucky to get it from J. Pelan: it is mint. By the way, John has written that he suspects there were less than 1000 copies of it issued, hence its scarcity...

Does the frontispiece take the form of a small, photograph sized object with a marvelously bizarre picture upon it? If so, the hardback I have has one too. Very interesting. I agree, this book is beautiful, really in any edition.

Re: TAROVFAOGT Trade Paperback Edition

I picked up one of these a while back, so its probably time to mention it. Its really quite an impressive book. The leatherbound versions must be really amazing.
