Christian Krohg (1852 -1925)
Krohg was a mentor of Munch, I believe.
I saw his painting below (SICK GIRL) 'in the flesh' recently in Oslo National Gallery.

well, she was painted in 1880 I believe - and I sense (but do not know) that she got better the next day and played skittles or skipping-games with her friends in the apple orchard - and died peacefully and happily much later.
