The Doctor's Night Terrors

Doctor Who's new story this weekend on BBC: Night Terrors by Mark Gatiss. Definitely Ligottian.

Throwing all childhood terrors into the mix plus the kitchen sink -- and the high-rise block lift. (The CGI effect sinking into the carpet was a bit unconvincing.)
I think it was meant to be a culmination of night-terror cliches (cliches to us Horror Generators) - but the 'dolls' / 'dummies' etc. were effectively Ligottian. And I suspect there were a lot of scared children going to bed last night...

Re: The Doctor's Night Terrors

Finally got around to watching this on BBC's iPlayer. I enjoy watching Dr Who normally, but this episode was particularly good.

There have been some impressively dark episodes with the recent Dr, displaying some great imagination, though I'm constantly surprised that they show this programme at around 7pm on a Saturday night, just before a child's bedtime....sweet dreams....myah ha ha ha ha ha
