Seems to have been a temporary affliction, I guess I'm better now. I watched this today War Photographer. A film about James Nachtwey the (anti)war photographer. An incredible man and a harrowing wander through the abyss. It's a pretty sharp anathema to some of the confectionery miserablism that's been put forward on this list by myself and others too - with exceptions of course - but I don't see it as an alien inception into the argument here. Joesph Conrad's Victory, infamously starting and ending with the secret phrase "there is... nothing," is worth mentioning. | |||||||||||
