The Gloomy Filth That Seemed To Be Everywhere

"What does it mean to be alive except to court disaster and suffering at every moment?"
Tibet: Carnivals? Ligotti: Ceremonies for initiating children into the cult of the sinister. Tibet: Gas stations? Ligotti: Nothing to say about gas stations as such, although I've always responded to the smell of gasoline as if it were a kind of perfume. Last edited by G. S. Carnivals; 05-02-2007 at 02:43 PM.. |

More motivation to get Crypt of Cthulhu #68 online! Poe-influenced early Ligotti seems even more morbid than current Ligotti, as evident in "Ghost Stories for the Dead".

Re: The Gloomy Filth That Seemed To Be Everywhere
The quotation above was typed verbatim from text in Crypt of Cthulhu #68. I've felt questionable about the word "principal" ever since. The other option would be "principle," which makes much more sense in the context of the piece. If anyone can verify the Punk Surrealist version, please let me know. Thank you.
