Re: Death in Honour
The extent to which Narcissistic Perversity is here masquerading as so-called "Spiritual Culture" says a lot about so-called "Spiritual Culture". At the end of the day it is "a mere mask for the foulest evil", that "Great Black Swine Which Wallows in a Great River of Blackness".

Re: Death in Honour
Hard to tell, but it sounds like it might be. I don't know much about the band, but their name could easily be a tribute to Mishima, since he has a story called 'Death in Midsummer'.

Re: Death in Honour
I recently watched a Samurai/Chambara film with Yukio Mishima in it - I didn't know he had also been an actor until I saw it.
Someone's got it uploaded to youtube, not great quality and the sounds out of sync, but you can see him commiting seppuku at about the 6 minute mark

Re: Death in Honour
A short essay about Mishima and his film Patriotism, or The Rite of Love and Death, which apparently was not legally screened anywhere between 1970 and 2006. The film has recently been re-issued by Criterion, and can also be found on Youtube.

You're sure this isn't more in accord with your no doubt highly "spiritual"sensibilities?

Re: Death in Honour
Crikey, you really are that self-important, Mr "Sundog" of the message boards.
Why don't you try writing something worthwhile that will be remembered? It may prove a valuable contribution to the cultural stream. It's possible, I suppose, that you've already done so, in which case I'd be glad to read your efforts. Meanwhile, I'd direct you to No "swinish" angle intended. All best wishes Mark S.
