Valdemar's GRIMSCRIBE cover

This is a beauty.

Re: Valdemar's GRIMSCRIBE cover

Agreed! Much better than the Carroll & Graf/Robinson cover art, which was once hilariously (and accurately) described to me as "a cross between Aleister Crowley and Uncle Fester."

Re: Valdemar's GRIMSCRIBE cover

And much better than the hideous cover for the Spanish edition of TCATHR, also by Valdemar.

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.

Re: Valdemar's GRIMSCRIBE cover

It looks like the cover designer used the same artist for their edition of Noctuario. Does anyone know who the cover artist is? Was this published in both hardcover and paperback editions?

Re: Valdemar's GRIMSCRIBE cover

The cover artist is José Hernandez.

Valdemar's editions of Noctuary and Grimscribe are only available in Hardcover.

Their catalog is superb Valdemar

Re: Valdemar's GRIMSCRIBE cover

Here you can download a .zip folder containing high resolution scannings of spanish artist José Hernández’s original wonderful oils on canvas that Valdemar used for Noctuario and Grimscribe spanish covers:

On the other hand, Valdemar's cover for TCATHR was so hideous that I made an alternate cover and back cover by myself:
