  • You're very welcome, YH; I'm just glad it was helpful. When that topic first appeared, it made me sit and think as I wanted to respond but didn't want to come off like an exhibitionist or something, so it's nice to see such a supportive response from the forum.
Hi Slawek, I just wanted to thank you for posting the pics of Der Orchideengarten in your album. For some reason, I couldn't get the link to work on your post. Wonderful stuff!
Dear Yellowish,Thanks for the friend request. I've been so busy lately that I haven't done anything online in ages. I think that Ligotti is one of the finest short story writers around. Personally, I don't ghettoize him. I place him with Checkov, FitzGeraald and the other masters of short fiction, not just horror fiction. Maybe I'm a little better read than some of the members who seem to read only horror and fantasy fiction. Anyway, that's why I originally joined TLO.I enjpy reading your posts. I always learn a lot from the other membersYours,Ken

    Hi Slawek,

do you still recall the name of the hostel/hotel you stayed at when you visited Prague? Ill be there over Easter, I have the adresses of friends but they are just up to go out for drinks while I have a friend with me who I want to show around so that might be helpful.

    Best,

    Tobias
Good morning friend..Hope we meet in the BH sometime.
Dear Yellowish, Are you familiar with this Book?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marianne_Dreams

I saw the series based on it as a child and it had a profound impression. It struck me as something you would like - creativity crossing the dream/reality barrier.

the series was called "Escape into night" (Black and White, very good and now I see, collected on DVD) and there is a movie I have not seen called "Paperhouse".

BTW I picked up "Sarahs House" to read the Black Hamlet which you mentioned a while back - I am looking forward to it - Cheers - AD
    Dear Slawek,

I am quite shocked by this decapitation of Poland. And because of Katyn - the irony is so bitter, if a writer had invented this, the critics would have a field day.

All the best to you - Johan
Hi "Yellowish Haze." I talked to my publisher and he feels it would be a top notch idea to not only put a story on this site, but one from the book Seven Deadly Pleasures. I have two possibilities I would like to run past you and the one who runs the site. (Do you partly run the site by the way? I always see you "on"). I would like to e-mail the files to you for a preview. Could you tell me an address to send the attachments to? The choices are a) The Exterminator / Aprox 20 pages. Scary clowns. b) The first chapter of the anchor piece, the novella Toll Booth, about two young teens who accidentally kill a woman on an abandoned construction site. Please advise. Mike Aronovitz
Hi, Thank you for making me a friend. I kind of found you again by luck, putting around this site. I saw your name and clicked. Another person asked to be a friend. How to I contact that person? I left my message about my book according to your instructions. Again, thank you for talking to me!! Mike
